no it is not the best gun by far.. but it is a start.. be nice to the kid.. he may be a future great player... everybody dogs on a new guy using a cheap gun.. why just be nice to him and help him out... on day he may be bunkering you.... the gun will work for you if you are playing with simular guns.. if not play real smart and save for a better gun.. the main thing is to have fun and be safe..

i dont play woods ball, i dont pretent im in the army. also i never said u did insult his gun.
thats enough, stay on topic here or you might just get banned.
As for the pump gun... Its actually not a nice pump, but it is a very nice pump for the money. If you can convince 5 of your friends to get the same pump you can have some really really fun woods games with them. Once someone goes semi it becomes unfair and kinda ruins it. Im not saying that someone with a pump can't beat a semi. But when everyone is new to the game it makes a huge difference.
My sugestion is rent a semi when you go to the field. or borrow someones backup. There are many people who bring many extra working semis and would not hesitate to loan them out to new players. This way you will get to learn more about different guns and will know what you want to buy as an upgrade.

Ahh yes the brass eagles, not very good pump over all, but good for the money as already said. Im fairly new at being a paintball marker owner but i have shot quite a few paintball markers. Brass eagles seem to be quite hard to aim with (maybe its just me). I just recently bought a e-99 avant and im loving it, its great. I must of got lucky because iv read the stock barrels shoot with a curve but some lucky ones dont, geuss mine is lucky =P. But yeah have the time of your life with your new paintball gun.
The thing about pumps is that they are for beginners. I started on one because i didnt wanna put down the money for it. Now i bought me a mighty Maxis(I'd rather have bought a Ion but o well...college students are known to be cheap right?)
The thing i liked about pumps was that you rarely ever ran out of paintballs. You needed to have better aim then a semi because well...you shoot one for his 5 paintballs. Also,if you can beat your freinds with a pump and they have semi's,your doing something right.
Have fun!

Pumps aren't always for beginners, ever heard of a phantom? as for u silent but deadly, dont worry about those morons who insult u because you are being nice to your aunt, I completely understand, dont worry about your gun, its cool and is great for beginners getting into the sport, welcome to paintball.
