So I might be getting a rainmaker soon, anything in particular I should know of? Any common problems that they tend to have?

i am not sure if boss comes on too much any more but if you can get ahold of him he could tell you anything you ever wanted to know about the RM

I have one kinda like boss' back in the day, be prepared to tune the hell out of it before it works well though

rainmaker section at beog.org is definitly your best bet for finding used ones and information on them. And like skurge said you better enjoy tinkering...
