Stingray hopper problems, please help!!!

Well, I bought a stingray from ebay a little while ago. It arrived last night. I bought it for $25, and everything seemed to be in working order. I only bought the gun, no hopper or co2 tank. I have an extra standard hopper and co2 tank at my house, so I tried the 20oz co2 tank on and it worked fine. Then, I tried a standard hopper on it and it wouldn't fit. I have a T-lock, but I can't upgrade it. I have a plastic feeder, but It wouldn't fit over the stingray hopper hole. I think It was meant for a smaller hopper, but I don't want to take the time and money to track down one of those. So, is there anything that I can buy to adapt a standard hopper to the stingray feeder neck?

And on a side note, how do you adjust the FPS on a stingray? I don't see any place to put an allen wrench.

Sorry If I didn't use all the correct paintball terms, I'm still a fair newb at this.

you need one of these little black elbows or this should work on it Paintball, Skateboard, Airsoft, Apparel and Snowboard Gear at ActionVillage.comThe velocity adjustment is on top of the gun near the feed neck.

Just a heads up. You will need an adjustable elbow. Not a plastic one. I have a stingray and the plastic ones don't fit.

Well, I went to the local paintball store today and they didn't have any elbows big enough. All of them were adjustable, but none of them could fit the gun. The gun feeder neck is about as big as a standard hopper. Therefore, I need something like a double sided elbow, both sides the size of a hopper.

Yeah. That's what I was trying to tell you. For mine we just tape a pocket rocket hopper on it.

Stingrays used the 1" feed, instead of the 7/8".
1" was the standard in the early 90s, though 7/8" gradually became the standard today for right-feed guns.

Adjustable elbows USED to come with a removable sleeve so they could work with both 1" and 7/8", but I don't see that anymore. Sucks since I have lots of of old guns.

The solution I use is to get a copper-elbow from the hardware store with 1"x1" ends. It doesnt fit the hopper right, so just wrap a little electrical tape around both ends, and it fits fine after that.

I just bought a VLbow made by viewloader at my local sporting goods store and it has an adaptor to make it either 1" or 7/8" see if you can find one of those.

Dawn of the dead...

No need for ducttape. If you have the original elbow for the original 60 round loader that came with the stingray (which i assume you have because lots of guys used to do the same as you), all you have to do is grab a rotary tool like a dremel tool or something of the sort and carefully mill away with the sides until you can fit the other loader in. Carefully though, don't want to mill away too much.
