I'm about to get into paintball, as long as I dont waste my money on something other than a gun.

I like the tac-5 from cabelas. It has a fixed stock, grip, bi-pod and barrel shroud.
I totaled it up and with all that added, its cheapest there. I can get a mask, tank, and hopper from my friend.
My question is, does anyone own or know someone who owns a Tac-5?

Also, do rifled barrels in paintball make a difference? Because another site sells a 14 inch rifled barrel for the tac-5.

Brass Eagle actually dosn't make the Tac-5, kinda funny that Cabela's got that wrong. Anyway, the Tac-5 is just a spyder in a senerio body, If you like all the stuff it comes with then it'll be an alright deal.

As for rifled barrels, they don't help for paintball. The bore size is a lot more important.

The Tac-5 is actualy made by JT, which is a division of of brass eagle. Its a basic stack tube blow black aka spyder. Its a decent beginner gun.

Personally I would spend an extra $30 and pick up this deal.

Another good deal at only $60. I own two of those guns and they are good guns. You can probably pick it up for $60 shipped.

It will perform a whole lot better and you will be much happier with it if you intend on sticking with the sport.

As already stated rifled paintball barrels do nothing really. Having the correct size barrel will do you more good than a rifled barrel.
