Got my Very first gun: T-Storm

Hello guys im new here and i just recently picked up a BE T-Storm (yesterday) i just got back inside from trying it out, and there was no chopping or anything. Im not a noob to paintballing and this isnt a bad gun compared to the A-5's i have been using and are used to. 1 question can i use this: http://www.viewloaderparts.com/index...categoryID=205 barrel for my gun? I know that you guys have said that the threads are the same as the spyders and i want to double check. I can honestly say that this thing has better accuracy than A-5's. Now guys please dont flame me or say that this gun sucks, because......you suck.....nah jk. here are some pics. BTW i got the gun set, 9oz C02, and 500 paintballs for $90, not bad but i heard a guy on here got the gun for $10 at sports authority .

oh yea and when im done using do i take off the c02 even though it still has some in it?

barrels: Its spyder threaded, get the Stryker Carbon Fiber barrel, i have the J&J 16 inch barrel if you would like that. Buy or trade.

CO2: shoot as you take of the co2 to get the extra out, simple stuff. btw, how is the blue Rhino tank? I always used Pure Energy Back in the day, so how is this tank?

Marker: I imagine it shoots slow...you should have saved for at least a spyder vs2 or an ion. I'm not saying its bad, if you don't shoot a ton in a game it should be ok i guess. If you just play scenario, Spyder MR1 or MR2'S are good as well. aslso fairly cheap used. $90? you should've bought a used one for a hell of alot cheaper man. I'm sorry to say, but walmark sucks in the paintball section, buy online from pbnation used or on ebay. for new guns, buy on Actionvillage.com for future reference

I hope I was any help to you.

Unscrew it and put some loctite or teflon tape on there, and screw it back on. Try again.

Be careful if you add loctite to it to stop the leak(or any leak). Use blue....not red or black, or you won't be easily getting it back off.

Blue locktite is extremly weak (though it probbly works). I wouldn't use it. Red works the best. txaggie, if you run into red locktite all you have to do is heat it and it'll come out just fine. Sautering gun, or hair curler or hot hair dryer all work. In the end you'll be happier using red once instead of blue 5 times.

Don't you mean soldering? Yea everything is fine now, I just was shooting it a couple minutes ago. BTW I have a mini torch, you think thats hot enough?lol. Also is it alright if I keep the Co2 in the gun while im not using it? Because when ever I take it off, I lose alot of air.

I TOTALLY disagree. Red is what you use if you never intend to remove it. Red is used for putting together 500 HP engines, not small pneumatic parts that don't cause nearly the stress on the parts that 500 HP can. Blue was designed for parts that need to seal, but are intended to easily come off with just a fair amount of strength. Blue will never wear out just through ordinary use, the only time you'll have to reapply is if you remove the fittings.

1) this gun sucks dude, i doubt its more accurate then an a-5
2) Get a new gun like a spyder if you dont have alot of money for a new gun...if u dont have any money then go mow some peoples lawns and save up or something
3) VL lancer is a gheeey gun as well, so tell your friend to go mow some lawns also
4) Blue loctite sucks, use red like kaz said, the slightest vibrations will break the hold off of the blue loctite
5)Big ball is actually good paint for the $
but i recommend you get a better co2 tank like a pure energy

1)accuracy has to do with the paint and the barrel, not the gun
2)a spyder wont even be that big of a step up in performance
3)maybe they cant afford guns that aren't "gheeey"
4)the blue will be fine
5)pure energy c02 tanks actually have more problems than other tanks

dude any spyder would dominate this gun
blue loctite sucks, reds better
pure energy tanks are alot better then those rhino air tanks from walmart
the guns a waiste of money so if he cant afford a better gun then he can save up or go do some chores or something.. why waist money on a cheap gun that you know thats going to have to be replaced soon any ways

a spyder is certainly better quality, but so long as the marker is working they're going to do the same thing.

pure energy tanks and the wal-mart tanks, as long as they contain co2, make no difference.

To set thing straight about lock-tite:
With red locktite you'll have to strain and struggle and grunt and groan, break tools, etc to get the part undone. This is not acceptable in paintball, where youre' constantly making fine adjustments and taking things apart. Red locktite was made for holding on engine bolts. There's also green locktite which basically never, ever comes off

Blue locktite holds up against vibrations and abuse. I use it with bolts on my mower deck and have never had an issue. If you want to argue that my mower deck vibrates less than a paintball marker feel free, but you're going to be wrong no matter what.

There is no reason, ever, to use red locktite on paintball gear. the only application I can remotely think of is on a feedneck, but then again most players know to twist clockwise when removing and installing their hopper.

i used some blue locktite on my break barrel pellet gun because the bolts on the side would wobble out because of the vibrations it made when you cocked and shoot, any ways it didnt prevent them from wobbling out, but when i used red it didnt happen again

but i didnt intend to ever be taking those bolts out again any ways, but having to heat up the metal on your marker could be a hassle so i see what your saying
you made a good point my bad : S

at my local store they have a bin of broken PMI tanks, i asked the owner about it and he said, they have lots of problems with them which is why he sells tippmann tanks, because it saves him money in repairs.
