yes and no
brass eagle use to make some of the best markers back in the day such as the nightmare, cobra and poison, some were also made of brass too, but in 2003 brass eagle was bought by k2 sports with changed there product line, marketing and target audience to noobs looking for low cost readily available markers that were easy to maintain. there last really decent markers were the raptor (F4 Illustrator clone) and rainmaker (electro-pneumatic badass similar to the vector) which i believe were both ended in 2000 and the afterburner and avenger both spyder clones but even these were still a little shoty.
k2 sports has since also acquired jt, viewloader and wgp since then and now has a 3 set up for paintball being brass eagle the bottom for lowend, then jt/viewloader as there midrange and wgp as there highend.
