hey i got a genesis II and i can help u wit ur problem, you take the sight rail off, and take the top cocking knob out, and it comes apart.

Did you look here for the exploded drawing?

These help when you have extra pieces left over.

just take the sight rail off and then the top cocking knob and it should come out
