Couldn't tell you about the five shot burst... but whether or not they are good, depends on what you are comparing it to... if you compare it to lower end guns, they are about the middle. In the full spectrum of guns, they are about the worst possible. It also depends on how you're going to use it, but generally, Brass Eagle is not the best.

no, eradicotars arent that good, and they only shoot semi auto, no 5 shot burst

they suck...end of story...good for a mess around gun...but nothing serious

one of my friends bought a vl orion and lost the ball stop...it had 2-6 shot burst since then...each ball went about 10 feet though

I know nothing about the Eridicator, and I agree that BE makes lower end markers, but my Raptor as been keeping ahead of all 98custom around here. And let me tell you there is PLENTY.

thats because all low end mech guns perform exactly the same on the field. if you think about it, there isnt much of a difference between all the low end mech guns. they all shoot paintballs, they all have a heavy trigger pull, big, slow, ugly, whatever you want to call it... the difference is in how much you pay for it and which company name it has on it. i think tippmann stands out from the group though because the 98c and a5 have very high upgradeability, and also they are extremely durable... and also more expensive

yeh my friends tippys ball detents fell out one time and it was like 10 round bursting...i mean shotgun bursting woulda been a hell of a gun to play close range with you would get like paint all over ya...but the barrell got quite nasty...

I agree 100%, so this being said, there is absolutely NO point into upgrading from a working BE (or other lower brands) to a 98custom if you dont plan on modding it.....the only logic would be to go straight to higher end makers (electros, bla bla bla..)

edit: saddly all the kids (and some older ones) around here are swapping there Orions, Avengers, Mercury G2s and other low markers for 98customs. I see it as a good point only because the local pb shops are making profits and expanding but on the other hands, the pb game quality and challenge is going nowhere,,,,,,,,,,WE NEED CHALLENGE to keep the game interesting.
