i'm relatively new to pbf, and i found this thread and thought that it should continue...so i'll add my addition.
I read one time that the brain recognizes familiar shapes, while in the woods, especially those that look unnatural in paintball these would include the hopper, co2 tank, and mask more than others...so i decided to try to disguise my familiar shapes with only some cheap digi-camo fabric and my awful sewing abilities.

sorry for the size of the pics...couldn't resize them on this piece of a laptop
its good that you bring that up i try to tell peole why to "waste" money on camo but it really helps....the little things that catch your eye can suprise you
I did the same thing with the tenis ball containers. Its a lot better than going out and buying tubes. I also made a gille suit and put dyed burlap throught the venting in my mask, I think it looks cool. It makes me look like Predator when I run. I also made a matching ghillie for my Tippmann X7. For winter (I live in Central NY where it snows a lot in winter) I made a white shroud for my gun using some gauze and some of those twisty things you get from bread.

I'm new, and honored to have my first post in the poor man's section. Hell yeah.
Now I wish I had a camera, I retrofitted a RIS (SIR?) rail onto my Stingray (beastly gun, in my opinion) as well as adding a foam cover for the tip of my shroud (good for... I don't really know I just prefer having it there) and put a red dot scope onto the rails. Not really all that ghetto, but all the stuff was recycled from older guns (airsoft) and the foam cover came from a Nerf rocket. I'm working on adding a bipod. Also, cheap camo= Spraypaint with leaves as stencils. Old as hell but still works.
tl;dr I put a RIS rail and foam barrel shroud on my Stingray.
this is an awesome thread im thinking about trying to make a Poormans Bipod for my A-5 since i splurged all my cash on a bunch of other fancy parts for my gun
Haha, that custom mask almost looks fake because of the way you can barely see any shadow underneath it. Its a mind-bender. =P
I red green'd a harness for my pod-pack. Cut a belt down the center, tied em into the rings they have on it, then taped it up to size, so it crisscrosses my chest and my back. I also have another strap made from another old belt that keeps my air-tank from bopping around while I run. Poor man upgrades are the best.
For camo why not go to the Salvation army and buy some old camo clothing. Cutt it to size and tie into some netting or whatever.
