Obvously nobody thats posted so far (ok maby just the last few posts ) realise what a smoke bomb is for. When you need cover (aka when you want to move from one area to another) and you don't have any (because the area you want to move through is wide open) tou plant a few smoke bombs in that open area so that it's hard to get a beed on you and fire on you. It's a VERY effective tatic when combined with cover fire.
Here is how you do it:
You want to move a small part of your team around to flank your opponents. You lay down some smoke bombs to cover their movement and when they start moving you lay down supression/cover fire (aka fire like hell at you opponents) so that they won't stick their heads up and shoot at the group trying to flank them. You could also lay a smoke cover on a few areas around you to confuse your opponents etc etc. I'm sure that most people here can come up with more creative ideas for smoke bombs other than "grenades".

LMAO @ the smokebombs. You say a pound will fill a whole city block? hmmmmmmmmmmm BWahahaha. At any rate , assuming it wouldnt actually catch the woods on fire, I could see a good use for this. You have some guys you cant see deep in woods cover. Light a very small smoke bomb, throw it behind them, and yell FIRE!!!! Bet that would flush em out real quick.

It's actually practical.
And you could throw some to divert fire.
This is taking me back to my woodsball days.

Throw a flash bang (usually not legal at most fields, but if your playing privately its fun), then throw a smoke grenade, so when your opponent can see again, he will think that he still cannot see.
Also (before game) make several tape recordings (on several tape recorders) of you firing you paintball gun, hit play (in game) and throw them all around your opponent's area to really scare the sh-t out of them

Washable child's poster paint works good (you buy it in powder form so you can mix it as thick as you want).
Anyway some new editions:
My Tec-9 copy: (hoping to add a magazine to it to make it look beter)

And my version of a "painting camo" (without using paint):
What you do is go out and buy 2-3 roles of "camo tape" (availablt at Wallmart for around $4.00 a roll) and cover your entire gun. YOu then mix up some white elmers glue (get the kind that dries clear) and a little bit of water to thin it out a little and pait that over the tape (it makes it hard) then after leaving it to dry for a day finish it off with some clear coat.

this thread makes me smile
I had a friend make me a drop, well actually it was more of a "push", 'cause it's flat, and it doesn't descend. So here's my visual interpretation of it:

I don't have pics yet but here's what I've done to some of my stuff.
For my Bonedaddy:
1) I made a low profile hopper similar to Krazy Zacks with some black pvc rigid pipe from a a wine rack that just happened to perfectly fit in to my elbow.
2) I cut one of my stock barrells down to the same length as my lpc as a "pistol" mod.
3) I modified a PMI Piranha single trigger trigger frame to fit onto my Bonedaddy. The seers were different so I had to swap them. I still need to file out the hole on the Bonedaddy sear to accept the larger pin used on the PMI frame. But it's working great otherwise. I just have to hold the pin in there so it doesn't shake out.
For my E-rex:
1) On the stock trigger frame I did a ghetto response trigger mod by wiring the NC contact in parallel to the NO contact. Sine the switch is a break before make it actually will work but you have to get the rythme of it. This also disables the electronic safety so I have it routed through a switch that I can use to select that mode. I'll probably try debouncing it with a 556 timer someday.
2) I also tried swapping a stock Mongoose board into my E-rex trigger frame. With some tweeks I've gotten it to actually fire 20bps full auto.
For both:
1) Made a custom drop forward with some scrap aluminum
2) Made a bottom line adapter block since niether of my markers use standard mounting holes.
Future projects:
1) Debounce my ghetto response trigger for my E-rex.
2) Make a custom stock for my Bonedaddy
3) Figure out why my Mongoose trigger frame doesn't work right on my E-rex and mod as necessary.
4) Get my hands on a junky verticle feed body, an electronic frame, and a P90 airsoft gun. I'm thinking I can gut the airsoft gun modify the marker, trigger frame, and bolt to fit inside and button it back up. I'm not sure how I'll do it but my Bonedaddy with my 11.5" ACI one piece barrel is only like 1/2" longer than the stock airsoft gun.
Interestingly I've found that 2L soda bottles can be made to fight tightly into a feed neck. Sometimes the soda bottle threads need a little trimming though. 800 round hopper anyone?
These really aren't mods, just helpful "ghetto" stuff
I like to use tennis ball bottles in lieu of 100 round pods. They hold more balls, fit into the pod belt, and I don't care if I loose them on the field. Just hang around popular tennis courts and your sure to find plenty of replacements.
The night prior to playing I pour all my balls into tennis ball bottles and one of those large cereal tupperware things with the pour lid. It makes reloading and stocking up on paint much quicker in between games.
3L soda bottles with the bottom cut off and the cap removed make great funnels when pouring balls out of a large bag or container into your hopper and prevents wasting paint from spills.

That works wonderfully with spyders. I used to do mods like this but unfortunatly since eBay doesn't allow the sale of airsoft in canada anymore I haven't made any recient mods like this.

Ya Bill C-15 killed Airsoft here in Canada. People who own airsoft guns are allowed to keep 'em you just arn't allowed to buy/sell/import 'em. The stupid thing is that companies like Canada Tire have "SoftAir" guns available for sale and are legally allowed to do so. Go figure eh? Anyway I used to buy CYMA cheep airsoft crap and comvert them by making a spyder fit inside 'em.
