Need PBF's help with the E-98

I ran head first into a wall today when I realized the 'Trix LCD board doesn't seem to support eyes. Bummer. Funny, because it seems to have a port for them.

That's alright though...that sucker was pretty fat and greedy for space.

So, here's the help part. What board should I look for now? I don't want to dump too much money so posts along the lines of "Pred II" will probably be ignored.

I'm a sucker for LCD screens and lights. Always was, Always will be so that'll be a plus. It'll need to be able to support eyes. I don't have an outstanding need for ramp or cap modes. As long as it can drive the solenoid it'll be cool.

I saw some Nerve boards and also an Anderson (?) matrix board on Nation that I would be alright with paying for. The anderson seemed to have like a dot matrix screen on it, not sure though. I know nothing about them. It also looked slimer, so that's a good thing too. If that is a sort of screen though, I'm kinda already attracted to it.

Any ideas?

Well, maybe u could buy up a 2k4/5 timmy board. If someone upped to tadao or something they'll need to lose their board.

Why not get chaos? I know it has no lcd, but it's a great board.

Have u looked into that laser trigger system? THAT would be really unique on a 98.

A Timmy board could work. Not a bad idea.

Yea, that's the goofy thing. I was in the matrix forum over there last night looking over the models of the guns made. From what I got of it, some of the LCD's had eyes and others didn't. Of course there's the chance I read that thread completly wrong. I guess I'll try and gather some info on the board I have before buying a new one..see if I can't figure out what it came from.

Yea. NCC has a post that 'some' of the LCD boards they install will work with eyes.

I decided to go with the board anyway. I don't want to drop any more time since that is in short supply lately. If I see a deal for a Trix board that does support eyes, I can buy it later on and just drop it in the old one's place. If I pony up for a fast loader I shouldn't have any problem with no eyes- I'm not that fast anyway.
