Lense question

Ok so i was thinking about gettign a darker lense for my Proto EL mask. but then wonderd if window tint would do the job. My step dad has tons of the window tinting film and does window tinting alot. But then i thought will window tinting work with plastics?

Id put the film on the inside of the lense, so it wont get hit.

That sucks...Lenses arent too expensive anyways, just look for a tinted one online. Oh and the whole idea about putting it on the inside...wouldnt that mess up the whole anti-fogness of a thermal lense? The tinting inside would probably get foggy and screw up your vision.
