Wait... is that even a paintball gun? If so, I'd say it's pretty customized as-is

umm NO. your'e looking at the factory carbine RIFLE. These are made by Hi-Point Firearms out of Ohio. IMHO the factory "camo" looks like absolute CRAP. Thus the cutomizing brainstorm.

So this is a what now?

Edit- Right, nevermind.

I'll get back to it.

What are the stock and grips made of, some sort of composite?

If you're cool with taking the stock off (it looks like all one big piece, and looks like plastic/composite) and getting a different one isn't part of this deal, Consider the wisdom of the Rolling Stones:

'No colors anymore, I want them to turn black.'

Good luck getting something that big into a pot of boiling RIT dye though. Maybe if you mix it really thick, with just a little water, you can brush it on. That's how you color wood with that dye. I'd say black, maybe army olive green, maybe a grey. That might look cool because the black swirls would probably show through the green or grey. And if it sucks you can always go darker.

Heating it might warp it, that probably isn't something you want.

it comes off easy, and it splits in half like a clamshell. What i'll probably do is use cans of vinyl dye. Start with a white base then go to whatever color. Like I say its a blank canvas, i need ideas of patterns to mask off to do emblems and stuff.

If i do use rit dye i'll be pouring it into something like one of those bins they use for wetting wallpaper.

Digital camo...or flames.

If you can get some scrap material see how vinyl dye (or whatever you decide on) tolerates gun oil. I imagine it'll come into contact with it eventually.
