haha.. if you buy a 21 inche barrel... nevermind I'll be nice. you can cut the top tube about mid way from the feed neck... depending on the model. I might be wrong.

Ok.........i know the whole thing on long barrel's im not stupid........i love a 12, or a 14 inch barrel, but im making this gun to make fun of some people i know..........who are like omg i want a sniper.......omg, imma be a sniper, so a 21 incher will give me a laugh or two.
EDIT: im so gonna try to bunker somebody with that barrel and like knock somebody out lol......ahh thats gonna be great.
It's a new spyder pilot acs......i think.

dremel and a cutting wheel maybe. That's a fair amount of metal, even if it is weak aluminum. I use a hacksaw to cut it off and then clean with a file to make it flat. I find it hard to hold a straight line with a dremel, but its a handy little tool.

actually that joke about stabbing someone with a 21 inch barrel isn't funny.
a guy i knew at the field thought that it would be funny to "stab" someone with his 18" freak instead of actually shoot them. well, turns out the way he poked him, totally jacked his whole shoulder/upper arm up, and he was done for the rest of the season, and had to go to physical therapy for months.
sound unlikely that he would poke him just the right way? it is. but is the story true? yes.

Well that would be a bummer, but i never said i was going to poke somebody. I said if i tried to bunker somebody i would end up knocking the guy out (by accident). Any way, why would you intentionally poke somebody with your barrel?

O-rings seal it when the bolt is forward.
But if you cut too much the bolt won't have as much to guide it and can wobble. I guess especially since the striker clips onto the rear part of the bolt and pushes it.

ok I'll just put the bolt back in and see where the last o-ring is when its not cocked, and not cut farther than that.

i've halfblocked 2 impulses so far, and plan to do more. i use a big ol' bandsaw at my school to rough it in and then use some files to make it look more pretty. I'm sure a hacksaw would work too.i cut about 2 inches in from the back on those btw. i'll see if i can get some pics to post.

I just halfbocked my GTI a couple weeks ago and used only a hacksaw and some elbow grease.
