homemade electric hopper
i have been really bored lately and been thinking about making a homemade electric hopper. i have just been thinking about the plan in my head using a small electric motor...from anything really, as long as its battery powered. and then a normal gravity fed hopper and just pretty much making the idea of what electric loaders are...just like 100 bucks cheaper....any ideas or anything..

electric hoppers run like 20 bux used dude, and they also dont malfunction (like a homemade one would) just invest in a revvy

yeah I was thinking the same thing, but if you really want to, go for it. You'll have to build some sort of a housing to protect the motor and do some messy work, but if you do it and it works well, more power to ya.
I'd just find a Used..........
-Revvy/Reloader 2 $20-30
-Egg $30-55
-Halo/Reloader B $50-75 (Z-code, not Victory)

i will do a freefall test in a day or two...i need to get a new 9v....i wore my only one out in testing of the motor...after the freefall then i just have to work on the appearence...i will keep you updated and post final pictures....also whether this works or not...another one will be built using a cyclone feed and connecting the shaft of the motor to the blades in the cyclone feed...that should work

cut a soda can to make the housing then the trigger pull to activate it..... hmm the easiest thing i can think of would not be the prettiest. just super glue a piece of the can to the back of the trigger and the front of the grip were the trigger meet, you may have to raise the grip side to get it to meet the trigger. soldier a wire to each of the metal peices and run them in to your power wire. you would basicly have the neg wire running from the battery to the motor and the positive wire runnning from the battery to the grip..... pull the trigger the cirrcute jumps to the trigger and runs uup to the motor completeing the cirrcut. oh yea for the motor anything would work for the feed paddle either plastic soda bottle cut up or a popscile stick cut and glued into a X shape.
or just buy a used revvy for about the same price in parts and alot cheaper if you count labor, but costum stuff is cool to say hey I BUILT THAT.

C'mon, making your own hopper is awesome, you get to decide how it works and looks...
I made one with the following:
Duct tape
Cardboard
K-Nex motor
K-nex pieces
knife
The hopper is pretty beast, it just needs a few motor adjustments.

It has been 6 months since the last post Messymeese, it is fair to say that he has probably bought/made his hopper by now. Let it die...

There is nothing wrong with reviving threads... It happens all the time, and people usually end up learning something new, and/or come up with cool ideas. So... Yeah.
