this is a good one !!!!

i just thought of this, i dont no yet if its possible but anything is possible. what do you think of using MAPP gas instead of propane in the c3???

No.

It isn't designed for that. It wasn't designed for the different gas pressure, air/fuel mixture, or the increased temperature.

this is true but the any propane appliance can use mapp gas, the pressure should be the same and you can adjust the air fuel mixture on the gun, mapp gas burns alot cleaner than propane, the only down side is it burns hotter so the gun will heat up faster, but i think that the c3 can take the heat because it gets pretty hot if your givin her for a while using propane. The reason i ask is because of the shape of the mapp gas tanks, i like that better i cant find any propane tanks that are long and skinney.

The propane tank for a blow torch is identical to a mapp cylinder.

Well, at least mine is. It's just yellow and says MAPP on it instead of Propane.
Lowes and Home Depot have dozens and dozens of them.

See my edit. I've always had blowtorch tanks that are the long skinny ones. Always used those and left the short fat ones for the campers and their stoves.
