anno stripping grip frame
If I stripped the anno on my grip frame (i assume my grip frame is annodized) and put a clear coat on it would it look good? Would it match my gun? I tried searching for anno stripped markers but I couldn't find any pics.
here are some pics of my gun

So if it isn't annodized, do i have to sand the whole thing down? and do i have to worry about it oxodizing before i get the clear coat on?

All you have to do is drench the entire frame in a strong paint stripper (not thinner, actuall paint stripper) and then use a wire brush to scrape it all off. Finish by buffing it with steel wool. For the clearcoat, make sure the metal is extremely clean (wipe down with alcohol or paint thinner) before painting. Then apply 3-5 THIN coats of clearcoat, and let it dry for about 12 hours before handling it. If you want it to harden, then before it dries all the way, bake it in the oven at 140* or so for about 20 minutes, then take it out and let it cool. And yes, I've done all this before. I'm not making it up.

Not very well. Ion frames are powdercoated (cheaply, but powdercoated nonetheless) so it would require something a little more caustic than standard paint stripper. Stripper may work, if you leave the frame in for an extended period of time, but be prepared for some seriously hard work if you go that route.
