Are all Spyder upgrades pretty universal? For example, when doing a Google search for "spyder barrel upgrades", this site comes up: http://rap4.com/paintball/spyder_barrels.html

Will all of these barrels fit most any Spyder marker? If not how do you tell which barrels are for what guns? The same goes for hoppers, tanks, sights, and other accessories. Thanks for the help.

Hoppers and tanks are universal.

As far as barrels, they should be listed as "threads".

If a barrel fits a Spyder, it will have "Spyder threaded" as an option.

So for example one of the items on that web site, "Spyder 16 inch Carbon Fiber Barrel", it is obviously inferred as "spyder threaded" and will fit any Spyder marker?

Does that include the Spyder MR series? I have an MR1 on order and I was wondering if the regular spyder barrels would work with it.

Yep, the Spyder MR1 is still a Spyder

one of the MRs.. i think the 2 has different threads or something i thought though.. paintball-discounters.com had a different J&J listed for that one.

nope. but if I remember right, some barels may not fit one of the mr series because it's got something protruding. I'm not 100% what barrels wont' fit or which marker it is.

The qloader also looks like a good upgrade for this gun - but I've never used one.


Primarily, I've only used the generic non-motorized ViewLoader 200's

the qloader is sick.. but expensive to use... its 99 bucks for 3 pods i think, and you have to use their pods... also it needs an e-loader to load the pods... its expensive but good for scenario.

no it doesn't. you can load it manually. I dunno if it comes with the pack or if you have to buy it sepratly, but there's a hand crank thing that loads them very nicely.

yeah but its supposed to jam less if you use an e-loader.. according to reviews i read that is..my friend wants it for the 98 custom "blender mod".... it comes with 1 pod and you have to buy the rest i think. http://youtube.com/watch?v=wr3hV27r8ho

I guess then the qloader will be a later addition for me. My last marker was a modified/upped ICD Alley Cat. I sold it about 5 years ago because I was short on cash and not playing as often. I'm just figuring out where I want to go with the MR1. Thanks for all the help and insight on the qloader.
