Well, on the nation there was a person from Europe that baked some paintball parts. It doesnt hurt anything, and looks semi-decent.

Here is a stock autococker barrel I just baked.

All you do is clean it very well, and put it in the oven( I used a grill, since some people say it stinks up the house. I didnt smell anything though). Cook it between 400-450 for however long. Some people have to keep it baking for 2 - 2 1/2 hours. But I only had to do it for about 45 minutes.

PS- the sharpies are because some people were interested in if you can tattoo the markers with stuff. It worked alright.

I see this shenanigans has made it's way over here.

Right now it seems nobody knows what'll turn to what color. If i were to ever do it, I'd have ot know what color my stuff is going to turn.

i'm trying to remember just wtf this does to a annodizing process physcially, but i can't remember what I learned.

Thats why I tested that barrel first. Now I am deciding if I want my cocker to be that color or not. I actually like it alot. It isn't really a doo doo brown, but more of a dark bronze.

Not gonna lie, that's kinda cool. Which pen gave the best "tattoo"? The pic is a bit blurry, it looks like the blue sharpie looks the best...?

The black one did the best, then the dark blue at the end.

The first line you see in the pictures is the black sharpie. The two highlighters didnt work very well. The orange one made it a little lighter, but the blue didnt do anything. So black or dark blue is the best. The only problem would be with consistency with the sharpie.

Update- I put my superstock body in the oven, hoping it would turn doodoo brown/bronze. But thankfully it didn't. It turned out an awesome purplish/redish/brownish I can't even really describe. But it looks similar to the dr pepper color.

wow. that is amazing, might try this out with a progressive barrel I ahve lying around. does it matter if it is a gloss or dust finish?

No they will all change color. But it is an extremely different color than the barrel. But I did use a different heating method. For the barrel I used a grill. For the body I used an actual oven.

Careful though, it can smell a little bad. But nothing extremely bad. The smell was gone within thirty minutes.

Yea, i was a part of the nation talk of baking...its a good idea as long as you have good aluminum. Mt friends ego eye covers and trigger came out a beautiful Bornze/copper color, its ****ing sick! My gun body came out olive, for it was green.

There is some pictures. Before and after. But, I will try to take more of the after. I think it turned a little different color after also. But I think it looks sweet. I will try to get complete pictures later, with it put together.

The barrel doesn't have any sort of special coating on it. It is just highly polished aluminum. So it changes colors, but nothing physical.

I wouldn't of cared. I mean I already use a pink xbox controller lol
