Well past that, would it be worth it to chop up a gun so far out of production? There are probably collectors out there that will take it off your hands for solid money, and with that money you could get a (probably not as accurate but definitely more easily upgradable) modern gun.

CCI Phantoms are not "out of production"... They are still one of the most popular pumps out there and a great value for the money.
