Lightbulb Parts from multiple sources?

I may be getting a Tippmann marker for my 20th B-day. The site says Tippmann guns are highly customizable, but I see through that and know they mean you can customize it with what they give you. I however want to know how to add additional doohickies from other companies (or some built myself,) in order to break the ridiculous vendor lock-in one may suffer from proprietary parts. I say this because I am an inventor by nature and do not want to be trapped by one single company.

I definately want to get the Cyclone Feed System (I've played with my older Spyder model (which is lost somewhere in the garage, sadly *cries*) and those balls get jammed by the dang normal feed system.)

Bottom line, I want to be able to have a sort of "junker" marker customized with whatever parts I can find to boost its performance. Any additional screw bending, drilling, joining or other jury-rigging you recommend?

The Tippmann guns? Cool...I'm getting a silver Tippmann 98...thanks for the fast reply

I'm gonna have so much fun modding. Also, I've got a modding question, but feel free to tell me whether or not it should be posted in this thread or in a new thread.

The question is: I want to mod my gun to make a laser sound when it fires...obviously that can be easily (okay, maybe not so easily) done with an electronic speaker. However, it'd be sweet if it would be possible to somehow direct the CO2 through a laser sound-making thingie...that'd seem far more authentic and reliable than a circuit that simply plays a sound everytime you pull the trigger.

Well, tell me what you think dude!

you want to route the co2 through a whistle sort of thing? it's entirely possible, but it may not shoot after doing that due to lower pressure.

Your whistle thingy seems a little out there but it sounds like you have some good plans/ ideas. I would recommend that you think everything through before you execute because, if it is a mod that involves milling or cutting, it is really hard to go back. I also recommend that you check out the gallery and the tutorials over on Model98.org.
