please help me with my gun!

Hey, I want to start by asking that if I posted this in the wrong area to please let me know where to post this for future questions. I've got an ion I bought from a tourny player I met at a field and I'm having trouble figuring out all he did to it and what I should do. Here is what I know is done to it.

Drop forward
New trigger
New quick latch for the hopper
Fire bolt I put in
New ceramic barrel I bought
And my spider hopper.

I think he might have replaced the board but I am not 100% sure nor do I know how to figure it out. The reason I think the board is not stock is because the light is blue like the virtue board not red like the stock one and the fact that when I tried to change the settings on the board it wouldn't work like the manual said,,, I can't change any settings like semi auto, ramping, 3 round burst etc., its always on semi. He also said he did something to the board.

How would I know if the qev is done or if its stock?

Please tell me what the best upgrades are and which brands. Thanks

This forum sucks, I see everybody jumping to talk about $1000 guns but when somebody has a question about a normal gun and needs help nobody wants to use there brain to help.

Slow down. Not Everyone is on the forum all the time. If you turn it on what colour is the LED behind the on/off button? The stock board is red and the Blackheart board is blue.

Thank you for the help and my bad. The light is blue not red. Is there any way it could be a stock board just modded or is the only other option the blackheart board? If it is the blackheart board, is it a good board or should I upgrade?. Thanks again.

ions dont' come stock with a qev

If you think you have a virtue board, then of course the ion manual won't make since for changing the settings. Go vind a virtue manual.

I am aware the ions don't come stock with a qev, my question should have been asked better. If my gun does have a qev how would I tell? Now about the board. Is there a way to find out what type of board other than looking through all the manuals I can find? I saw a number on the board but had little luck searching via that number. Is there any other methods? Does the board perhaps say something somewhere else I didn't see? Thanks again for your help, I obviously am not up to speed yet on markers so I am aware how funny some of my questions may seem. Hahahahahahaha

The Blue light is the blackheart board. Not a bad board. Overpriced is all. Virture boards have a multi colour light so I think you have a Blackheart. The Blackheart circut board is actually Black. I have a Blackheart and have no problems with it. In order to see if you have a QEV you have to separate the body from the grip frame. Don't do this untill you have read how to take it a part. Make sure you understand the steps need and then do it.

ok, here are my current settings for my gun. could you guys please tell me if they are ok and give any advice on how to set it up better, my goal is only to be fast as i am not playing any tournys so i just need speed!

i have the gun set to rebound
dwell is set to 30 of 89
rof is 1 of 91 which i think is the fastest
debounce is set to 6 of 25
bsa (bolt stick adjustment) is 9
kick in rate is 5 bps
sustain rate is 5 bps
the # of shots before the mode kicks in is 5.

are these settins ok? would i be faster if i set it to semi rather than remound or is full auto the fastest? does full auto do the 20 bps? thanks
