safety
it can be dangerous, as long as you are safe around it and keep some baking soda on hand, i used rubber gloves.
Do you mean you can actually have this done or are you saying that i should have had it done by someone?
I just wanted to see if i could do it. if i can get it to work its alot cheaper
well if anyone has any advice, i'm open for suggestions
thanks alot

yeah
well thanks, i didn't think it was bad, i was nervous, but its easy once you get it going and get a routine, get your positive and negative set in the acid wash, so they don't touch, and your fine, the acid is diluted in water so its not as harmful once its mixed, but still can be nasty, i splashed a litte on my finger and dunked it in baking soda quick, it neutralizes the acid,
I'm gonna get some scrap aluminum and different dye and try it again, and maybe a better battery charger.
I'll post again when i try it if i have any results
Its not too bad of a project to try and cheap if you have a battery charger

You can't use foil as a gound. It is aluminum, and it will anodize itself in the solution and lose conductivity (the anodize layer is non-conductive). Try using titanium wire as a ground, it will not anodize and it will maintain conductivity.

lead?
i was working off two sets of instructions, one said to use a piece of lead, other said to use the foil. So i'l try the Titanium wire next time. And would lead work too?
Is about 20 mins long enough to keep it i nthe bath?
I did a stock spyder body with factory anno on it. i read later that it wont conduct electricity with that layer, but the acid bath romoved it, so i sanded it down again and it should be ready for next time.
And i'll buy a new charger, what size wire is good to use?
i have a really thick Aliminum wire right now,

i don't want to spend the money, and it would be cool if i could learn how to do it myself, if not, its not really that important, i'll paint it.
