Fully delrin or nylatron?

I wonder, to build a FULLY delrin or nylatron pb gun. Like a Nylatron/Delrin bolt, body, feed neck. EVERYTHING. It'd be REALLY expensive, but I think you couuld do it and make it work. When I say fully delrin/nylatron, I'm not including drop, o-rings, paintballs or barrel, or springs things that NEED to be metal or another substance. Such things as that. But the valve and such and bolt and trigger frame. Think it could work as a mech?

I dont think it would work, they have had prototype carbon fiber guns though. And you wouldn't need o rings, its self lubricating

if you were going to do it(i doubt it), i'd say go with nylatron because it's apparently stronger

actually, i think that some company makes a cupseal out of delrin, so you might be able to use that for seals.

it wouldnt be strong enought to play with. well it might.but u cant be rough at all or it will break in half. and if pressure is built up it might send out peices of plasitc shrapnal.maybe not, i dont know how delrin or nylatron breaks. though if u had the skill it would be cool. jsut for the sake of doing it.

why would you want to, it wouldnt be any smoother, delrin/nylatron work great because they are great against metal, but against eachother, it wouldn't be as effective

Oh **** not this again. This has been on PBN about 5 times in the past year. Do you know why people use delrin or nylatron? Low friction for smooth cycling. Its not some miracle of science. Its not super lightweight. Its just plastic that happens to run smooth. First of all, it would be like a brass eagle blade. Hard to seal because its plastic. Second of all, it would break easily. Third, the threads would wear out quickly. Fourth, heat and moisture, as well as oil, could cause the gun to swell up and seal its internal parts to the inside of the body. And please dont suggest getting aluminum inserts that the bolt and striker or whatever could slide in. That is self defeating. Please, drop the thread, its a very worthless idea.
