My tippmann..
Hey, im new to the sport and im loving the game. I have a tippmann 98 custom, first gun, and i play woodsball. Im hoping that im in the right part of the forum to be asking this, if not- do move. I already have a J&J ceramic barrel, double trigger, and a drop forward. Now im woundering what other parts and upgrades i should get next, all of your suggestions are highly appriciated. Thanks.
Also, I may play some speedball from time to time, not much though. Thanks again.

A response trigger would be a nice place to go, and a better hopper to go with it. If you play woodsball, a remote line is also a nice accessory.

A remote line is a hose that you hook up from your tank to your gun. Your tank then goes on a harness on your back. They're about 30 bucks, but I really like getting the weight off of the gun.

yeah, that's another thing i love about them is that you can unscrew the part that hooks into the air tank and turn it off.

Do some home mods, such as the short trigger pull and the light trigger pull, if you do it right u can rip on that thing. Theres a sticky in the tippy section covering it.

to gewt a gas through grip u need a vertical adapter (i am pretty sure) and a drop foward would be kinda pointless w/ a remote line but the remote line would be nice. and you should do a mod known as the clicky spring mod. you basicly replace the spring that returns the trigger w/ a pen one and it makes it easier to pull. just go to the tippman form and there is a mod sticky

i wouldent be getting the remote line though. shorty, on your picture thing, the handle closest to the trigger thats a low pressure kit? Is that your gun? and yeah i know abotu the verticle adapter, you do need that because then it takes the c02 up threw the foregrip. thanks for all those suggestions guys.

Tippmann Upgrade Thread
try there...
yes, remotes are pure crap dont waste ur money.
hvc, if u have macro line then u can easily just cut it if its too long, any kind of pliers or maybe even scissors would work. if u have steal braided then get macro or buy a shorter one. (cant cut that ****)
and also, i wouldnt put too much money into ur gun at all... a lot of people who upgrade lower end guns regret it when they get bad resale when they want to buy a higher end gun.

home mods... its all you really need. i had a stock 98 with a j&j ceramic before i bought my cocker but it was awesome to say the least.
home-made drop forward - i used a 3/4" wide by 1/8" thick piece of steel from home depot. measured, cut holes, and bent it. it felt great with a 20oz. it cost like $3-4 for a 3ft long piece.
shortened and lightened trigger pull - check the tippman forum on this. i used orthodontic rubber bands. they work great.
eliminate the feedneck wobble - put some tape JUST above the hole on the actual marker body so that when the feed neck is clicked into position it doesnt wobble.
vented feedneck - i drilled a few small holes in the plastic part of the feedneck so that it would help reduce blowback to a minimum. plus you can see your balls

Remote Line
Woodsball with remote line..
When i think of that, i see my friend hanging from a tree bouncing up and down from the line... Or him running through the woods having it hang up on some brush and getting owned and falling down.
Well all i can say is that i suggest you dont get one, dont waste your money. From what i have read from others. When the tank loses air, the remote kills all the pressure that is there in the first place, in other words your ball rolls out the end of the barrel... Maybe this is bluff or maybe a remote line is a good thing.
But like i said before i just see it as something to get in the way.

you cant use co2+macro, co2 needs steel braided.
