Response Trigger...

I was woundering how the response trigger actually worked, my friend was telling me how when you hit the trigger it fires, and then when you release the trigger it fires? and im not to sure about that. if its true its now better in my mind, but i would still liek to know how it works. Thanks

i dont know if this was my friend's fault or not, but yes although it does fire both on the pull and release of trigger potentially, it left our team high and dry several games in a row...although now he fixed it and last time we went out it worked great

I thought the excess co2 or hpa in the gun was diverted to the r/t, and it pushed the trigger back into place faster, to let you pull the trigger again.
1 shot per trigger pull?
The reason they made it Illegal is that you could sweet spot it so that you could just hold down your finger, and the air would do all the work of pushing the trigger back into place for you.

..so the response trigger is not legal in ANY tournaments? because it fires a ball when the trigger is pushed and another ball when the trigger is released?

are u guys talking about r/ts in general or tippmann's for the A-5. I really dont like the A-5's b/c i got the crap shot out of my leg in the staging area from one. The kid forgot his safty and he reached for the gun and pulled the trigger to the special spot (where the gun will shott a 16 shoot burst or something) 4 right into my inner thigh, that was over a month ago and i still got the mark...

But ya, i'm pretty sure that's how it works....i think some people call that turbo mode, hell i dunno.

It uses a burst of gas to send the trigger back against your finger. If you hold your finger just right it keeps firing in an almost full auto manner.

i own an almost stock A-5 with a response trigger and it only fires one shot per trigger pull. just like pigstick said, theres a certain tuning that allows you to shoot 'almost' full auto. the reason i say almost is because as youre firing, the trigger is moving back forward with alot of force and its hard to keep applying the same pressure on it. ive tried every tuning and unless you have really stong fingers, its hard to go full auto for more than 15-30 shots. either way, its not turbo like your friend said, hvc, but 'response' is easily mistaken 'reactive' which is very similar to turbo. response gives you about 13-15 bps. i think in some tourney's they let you turn the tuning screw all the way down so no response is given but dont quote me
