Here's my idea...

A main body out of a 4 foot piece of PVC. At the end, its capped and I'll rip up a port reducer into the back. I'll screw some steel hose into that, and I'll get an ASA, and screw the hose into that. Then an inline reg. Then I have the ASA for a remote attached to the reg with more steel hose. Screw a 3k PSI tank into that.

Okay, now on the main piece of PVC, towards the middle, bore out a hole .68 inches. Duct tape on a feedneck. Now, I need to find some way to rig up a feeding system to this, but it needs to be a force feed system. The balls need to be forced into the feedneck or else this won't work.

Alright.. For the magazine. Yes, Magazine..

Take a foot long piece of 2 or 3 inch PVC. Bigger if I can get it. Cap the top off, but shave it a bit so the cap goes on and off easily. On the cap, get a spring. Now, attach the spring by soem means to the cap, and cut out a piece of cardboard that will fit inside the PVC. Attach the spring to that. Maybe add some styrofoam or something to the bottom of the cardboard.

Now, at the other end of the tube thats uncapped, take a 200 round gravity fed hopper, and cut out the bottom so you have a funnel. Duct it to the PVC. Fill the PVC with a bunch of paintballs, and put the cap/force feed machanism on it. Screw it into the feedneck of the main body. Hopefully you can cram at least 100 paintballs into it.

Now, duct tape a pistol grip of some sort onto the PVC, thats about 3 or 4 inches behind the feedneck.

Hold the pistol grip and put it on your shoulder. Have a friend behind you get ready to screw in the remote valve. Once the remote valve is opened, you'll have a "downstream bleed" so to speak, and it will rush ou the barrel, and the force feed will force paintballs into the barreland shoot them out a good 30 feet, I'm hoping.

PRoblems:

A ball detent. How do I keep the balls from just rollingout the barrel before the downstream bleed?

A barrel. Will the main body of PVC be enough/ give enough pressure to launch a paintball out? Maybe takign a regular paintball barrel somehow and somehow rigging it up to the main PVC body could solve it. That might help the pressure issue too.

I figured velocity could be covere by adjusting the PSI of the bleed.

Paint it Olive drab, put some yellow stenciling on it, adn bring it with me to Dday next year.

sounds damn near inpossible to pull off, and it'll use as much air as some sort of thing that uses alot of air, i'd say it will probably be a waste of money, draw a diagram using paint or something to show us it, and post pics and results when its done, and about the barrel, it will be pretty hard to get the pvc pipe to 100th of an inch, as in .689, it is damn near inpossible without the proper tools. cant wait to see this though.

I don't need .689. I just need .68 . Not all paint is .689 And its not like I'm even caring about accuraccy. I just want soemthign that makes a lot of noise that spits paintballs.

Anyone have any ideas for a barrel?I have ALL teh parts at my house to do this.. Well, I might need more PVC and an end cap, but otherwise, I got it.

I made a spudgun out of it for now. I'm picking up more PVC and some fittings at Home Depot. I have all teh stuff, I just need an endcap.

I'm making a silencer too.. Gonna sell it to a friend.

Dude, I am a cross between a disgruntled wannabie marine and MacGyver. I seriously am looking at my swiss army knife right now.

I made it into a mortar for now.. I can power it by Compressed air/CO2 or I can use something combustable. Tomorrow when my mom goes out I'm gonna get me some alcohol and try her out. I just capped some PVC with duct tape and paper (pretty good seal, allows for a bit of pressure release which is good considering the PVC I'm using is only rated to 300 PSI and I'm using a 3000 PSI tank). I made a touchhole by melting it a bit, then makign a hole with my swiss army corkscrew. Tomorrow I'm going to melt it some more and make an ASA and stuff it with paint, then when I'm done, gonna tkae out the ASA, fill it with some Alcohol and launch some taters.

wow, you know what your at!, i made a spud cannon once, not a gun, a cannon, i got a uhh.. air compresser, and duck taped the nozzle into the tube off of a shop vac, plugget the other end of the nozzle into the compressor, all you hear is, sssssssssssss THUMP, the potatoe flew 200 feet, and only at 230 psi.

If you want some sort of force-feed here is one way of doing it....
Get a pvc pipe a little bit larger than the paintballs then put a threaded end cap with a reciever on the end of the feed then find some sort of spring about as long a your feed pipe then connect it to the inside of the crew in pvc piece then fill your pipe with balls then screw your end addapter on and when you screw it on the pipe

well... the halo b uses a spring to make sure a ball is always in the breech... if the springs pressure wasnt too strong, then it would work...
