Talking Fan

Go to Radio Shack, and by the smallest fan they have. It should be a 12volt fan about an inch or inch and a half by the same. also by a 9volt battery and a 9 volt connector thing, and a on off switch. sodder the wires fron the 9 volt lead to the switch and to the fan leads. put 9 volt battery on and flip the switch. if you soddered the wires right it will work.cut a square in the mask smalled than the fane and glue it in place find a place to mount the switch and battery. Then PLAY PAINTBALL. 9 volt battery should last a long time. )PM me with any other questions.

Close, but no cigar. Try buying one of those special 9 volt battery's that you can recharge and also buy a recharger for it so insted of being on the field after like 5 games and it runs out and your sweating badly, you can charge it up after every 1-3 games.

Before testing your fan tape it very well onto your mask because u run, sweat, and sometimes drop your ask and it can fall out while your playing and it might be a distraction. So when testing it run around in it untill u start sweating and make sure the tape doesnt wear out. Or to have more of a professional look and hold buy a velcro strapper and use that insted.

~~~Glad to help~~~
Here are some battery basics that might make it easier and more effective to match a fan and battery. Fist of all the voltage. AA and AAA are 1.2 volts. So if you use a 12v fan you would need to add 10 AA batteries together to get 12 volts. That would be a bad choice (heavy). a "9 volt" battery is 9.6 volts. find a fan that you may want to use and look at the voltage requirements and MaH or AH. (Milliamp hours / amp hours.)
Think of the battery as a motor with a horse power rating and a fuel tank. Amps = horsepower and Mah= size of fuel tank. so a 9v fan with a 1000 Mah rating will draw 1000 Ma (1 amp) at 9V. If your 9v battery has a 10000 MaH rating, you can see that your fan will work for 10 hours. (1000 Ma draw per hour.)
Short and sweet match the voltage for the fan and battery and look at the power consumtion to see how long it will work.
To increase your MaH you can combine batteries + to + and - to -.
To increase your Voltage you can combine batteries + to - and switch the final temination.
here is a link to a helpful web page. http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/vol_1/chpt_11/5.html
You could aslo use a variable switch and be able to speed up and slow down the fan with a dial.
I know this may be confusing but I tried to keep somewhat short, PM me if you have more questions about batteries (I build my own packs for remote controle planes).
Fans = Ghey
If you spend the money and get a good mask, like a JT spectra, or Proflex or Dye invision, or any V-force goggle, Take care of the lenz, and make sure they are thermal, then u will be good
All fans do is waste money and....
NEVER CUT A HOLE IN UR MASK! NOT EVEN FOR A FAN!
I say, save ur time and anger, and but a JT fan if u really want one.
I made some very effective mask fans for both my JT mask and my VForce mask. I wear glasses so even though I have thermal lenses my glasses fog up. I posted instructions over at M Carter Brown. Iv'e been using the fans for a while now and they work great. The JT ones have a speed control circuit built in:
...and the VForce ones are basic and simple:
hope this helps
i actually used a quite large fan while playing paintball in my old crap mask. it didn't work at all i mean it spun, had the wires soldered and everything, but still fogged up too quickly
got an invision, works great.
