Yeah, I did, i just didn't know if it would screw with the porting or anything.

put tissue in the end before the masking tape, and if you have an old couple of corks, like from wine bottles, cut chunks of them and shove them into the porting, personally though, i've had no trouble with just putting tissue in the end. dont worry.

Another idea I had was cut q-tips and shove them into the porting (if they fit) and then paint it well.

yeah, my barrel is silver, and i wanted to make it black, maybe one day I'll have the time
