Painting masks are pretty hard. Make sure you sand it down well with sandpaper and then put tissues or paper by the holes where you breath from and use some painters tape and tape it up. Do the smae for the plastic goggle area. Then very very lightly spray paint the mask. Hold the can 6" away from the mask and give it a light coat, not to heavy.

Then let it dry and give it another coat and see how it looks. You will probably be useing about 2-3 coats of paint on it because most masks are black.There's some special coating type of spray paint that will protect it against rain and water very well. Make sure you get some of this at a store, it will help.

~~~Glad to help~~~
I painted my mask, I just covered the lense with paper towl and taped it down, then masked off the desight I wanted. I used white spray paint and applied lightly, several coats. I then took a razor blade and scratched off any overspray or bleed under the tape. The paint bonded really well to the mask, you can scrape it off if you want, but under normal conditions it holds up really well. Plastic "sweats" anyway, (the paint will not bond perminently even with sanding) the only way to do it correctly (automotive) would be to treat the plastic first. I wouldn't waste too much time prepping it, just realise you will have to repaint every once in a while.
I have posted a way you can do this without having to sand and costs only $6-$12
Check it out:
If you do it this way you can't mess it up.
Krylon Fusion paint is made for plastic and will work.You do not have to sand and do nt prime ,the paint was designed to bond with the plastic and it will not do that if you prime it.It can hold it's own on a mask,I panited my mask awhile back and have had a few direct hits on the paint with no chipping.You will need to do a couple of coats and they have to be done within 24hrs of each other.The only draw back might be color,they might not make it in the colors you need.I don't think they make it mackdaddy colors LOL.YTou can find it just about anywhere.Goodluck.
