First, get some paintballs, 2 containers (1 big one that you could mix a cake or brownies in, and one small one to put shells in), some water baloons, a few rubber gloves and hot water...
Use about 5 cups of water for 300 paintballs... Pour the hot water into the big container.
Put your gloves on, since you'll be mashing paint now (be patient)
Pour like 50 painballs in at a time. Let them sit for 10-20 seconds, then start breaking them open UNDER WATER with your fingers. When you let them sit, they get soggy fast. If you have thick shelled paint, roll them in your hand underwate and they should pop. Just pop all of em and give em a good squeeze.
When your done and your water is whatever color your paint is,there should be some white chunks (thats the outer shell coating.. The slimy stuff). IF you don't want chunks, you can put it through a fine strainer or coffe filter later, but for now you've only done 50 paintballs...
Now, take a ton of shells in your hand, and bring them out of the water. Squeeze as hard as you can for as long as you can. Use two hands. You'll get a LOT of paint out. You'd be suprised at how much will run down your hands even after you've popped them all. After you squeezed them, dunk them once more, and squeeze again. They should be cleaned of paint now. You can toss the shells away or keep them if you want to add some to the final grenades. They dont do anythign but act as a filler. If you letthem sit in watelong enough, the shells will completely dissolve and it will make the paint thicker.
Repeat for another batch of 50 balls until you've juiced all the paint you want.
Now, use a funnel and get it into some water bottles. The 20 oz poland springs ones that have the on/off tip are the best. Fill the bottles up, adn ready a balloon.
Blow up the baloon a few times with your mouth just so it will stretch out.Flick it and stretch it a little so its nice and stretchy... Wrap it around the mouth of the bottle, and squeeze the bottle so paint goes into the baloon adn it fills up.
Grab the neck of the baloon, adn just pull it off.
If you have a hard time tieing the knots, what I do is stick my index and middle finger out, adn wrap the baloon around the two fingers. Then, I spread those two fingers a bit, and push the end of the baloon through the middle of my fingers.. Kinda hard to explain.
I made fist sized baloons and they made a good 2-3 foot splat.
Remember KISS. Keep it simple stupid. Baloons that spin around or are made out of soda cans and PVC and all sorts of crap get pricey and won't work reliably. Theres a reason why kids play with water balloons. They're easy to make, and if filled correctly, will break EVERY time. So you don't have to worry about your grenade going off or not. All you have to worry about is timing, and aim.

Paint grenades don't work. They don't spin reliably and they don't spray reliably. With my design, if you can hit someone with the baloon, your going to get them out.

Hah, I love this. Too bad my local field doesn't allow gernades. Sure you might get laughed at for such cheap device, but that'll make it all the sweeter when you soak them. There is nothing more humiliating than getting belted with a waterbaloon

You can simply put an empty plastic water bottle container (with the head cut off) in your pocket and keep the baloon in there. That should do the trick, plus if it's rather flimsy, you can easily compress it sideways once the baloon is thrown so it doesn't turn into a nusiance. Also, be sure to put some tape around the edge so the baloon doesn't pop.

if i can see someone good enough to throw a water balloon at, i could probably just stick my gun out and shoot them right?? Grenades are ment to be thrown behind bunkers and such...where you cant see, sometimes do drive them out and sometimes just to hit them...
