Basically they took the Threshy design and made it better. Its suppose to get better efficency than the threshy and shoot smoother. I have no idea if this is true. Just what I've heard. Its taken DP forever to release it though. It says march on the website you got the pic from. I think its priced at $850.
I'm just hoping its not going to be another G3 blunder. I think they're doing better testing on these. I'm seriously thinking about getting one of these and depromoting my quest to back up.
I must admit that's one sweet looking marker. Especially in that gold/black configuration. I don't get the gauge at the back, but as long as it doesn't get in the way of taking the bolt out, i suppose it could be handy and out of the way.

The gauge actually makes alot of sense. If your in the middle of the game and notice some shot down, you don't have to turn the marker sideways to see the pressure. You can just look at the back, which only requires you to move your eye. Less movement=less chance to get hit. Now this isn't a huge deal, but its a pretty good idea.
Also the Gauge dosn't get in the way because to take the bolt out you actually insert a tool down the breech and unscrew that way. Similar to adjusting a phantoms velocity but you're actually unscrewing the whole bolt.
I've done some research on this marker... if you can't tell.
They did a LOT better testing on these. Multiple times they redid them in order to get it right. I really thing they might have a huge success with the Rev-I. I want a purple or gold one.
Also they've embraced the OLED with this, no more counting blinks!!

There's no guarantees I'll get one before you. I will be getting 1 of my 3 wanted markers this year. The new Quest if it materializes, The Rev-I, or the Bob Long Marq Victory.
You still probbly will. I have a habit of not buying a marker untill its been out for at least a year. like my quest. Bought that brand new in the fall of 07.
Yea I saw that vid a while ago. Pretty sweet. Theirs also a guy who shows how to tech one of the prototype rev-i's. This is before they put the gague on the back though.... I'll have to find the vid now I suppose.
Yeah, those who like spools are going to take a spool over a poppet regardless. And vice-versa. This is the new lower high-end spool valve, basically filling the void left by Dye's moronic decision to kill the PM line.
Exactly, pretty good timing for DP actually. I'm going to bet this thing is better than the PM8's (looks SOOOOOOO much better!!). SO it'll compare with the DMs, and Luxes. It would be nice to see how it compares to these. People automatically think that the price classifys markers are how good they are, when in reality 90% of them wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a DM and PM shooting if they where blind folded.
That extra $500 is sometimes for a name, not a marker.
I'm getting some cash soon and I think this is going to be my first high end gun and I'm hoping that I can get it in blue/green like at world cup but if not orange/black is sick.
