G3 Problems

I just bought a new G3 about a month ago. I was playing with it for only the second time this past weekend and i had some major leaking problems through the bolt. On four seperate occasions, air would start rushing out of the bolt, and everytime I would change the o rings in the bolt and i could get it fixed for a little while then it would do it again a little worse the next time. The guy at the field told me it was a bad reg. Any ideas?

it's a classic cupseal issue. re-seat it and see if it happens to fix it. If not, you'll have to replace it.

Could be a solenoid.

How well do you maintain your marker? What kind of lube do you use?

Check the o-rings on the bolt for any nicks or cuts. if none of them are damaged check to see that the right size ones are in the right places. At this point regrease the bolt with DOW 33 lube (Shocker luber or Smartparts Sleek will work) if you play some where where it gets cold (Enough for snow) in the winter DOW 55 can be used.

If that still does not fix the problem check to see if the solenoid is loose or not seated right.
