Air use on TES
OK tried looking and didn't see it. I am curious about something I have my TES and currently I am still using CO2 (I did put an anti-siphon in though). I have a 20oz CO2 tank and am getting about 400-450 shots per tank. My buddy who also started PB the same time as me has a mech spyder and he gets about 750 shots from a 16oz tank. Does this sound like excessive air use or does the TES just use a lot more air to shoot than other guns?

BTW I do love this marker compared to some of the others I have recently fired at the field (well there was a severly customized auto-mag that I shot last night and loved, but I couldn't justify spending $1200 on a gun when we just play for fun). Last night when we played they actually put me in the experienced group. Now there were several better than me, I am beinging to hold my own with mid-level players. I even played a one-on-one game with this player who is very good and plays tourneys alot. Granted I figured I would lose, but I lasted over 5 minutes and I was able to learn a lot from the techniques he used. We both popped out from cover at about the same time and he could fire a whole lot faster with his Automag and I took about 6 hits but it was cool.

I have the Tigershark bolt, but I have the pressure on the stock gauge right in the green so that is saying it is about 700 PSI.
Now I have noticed as the tank gets lower and the gauge starts to drop out of the green it sometimes fails to send the bolt fully rear and recock it. Would that be just because the tank is low, or is that another issue.

Yeah I got a spring kit that has several different springs so I guess if I lower the PSI I will need to move up to a heavier spring.
I will also try lubing the reg. I hear people mention Dow 33, is that a PB specific lube or would it be availible at a Home Depot or other type of store?

OK nevermind found where to get it. I just lubed the reg. following the link (thanks) and lowered the PSI and fired a 200 shots, no hangups w/ the bolt recocking. Now I just have to wait to next w/e to take it to the field and chrono it to see if my velocity is good. (I put the heavier spring in so it should be cool), hopefully this will cut down on how much air I use.

Good luck...
Got a Q an the fps tho... I crono'ed my gun at the w/e and my fp was jumping around 230 and 296, I am using HPA... I thought that it would be more consistant than that. Any ideas why it jumps like that?

Yeah when I took my reg apart to lube, the shaft was dry and the disks weren't sliding smooth. Should help it be more consistent now, hopefully.
