TES in Auto - Wont fire
I just got a TES and I'm having a little trouble. It seems to have two problems. It will not fire a ball with the eye on. If I turn off the eye it will fire and I can take the little cover loose and pop out the eye and cover it with my finger and it will fire with the eye on, it just won't fire with a ball blocking the eye. It will "click" with the eye on if I just put a piece of paper down in the barrel and block it. Any suggestions?
Second problem is that there seems to be no difference in auto and semi. When in auto it will only fire once per trigger pull. Is it supposed to be automatic or not? If not, whats the difference.
The manual seems to be pretty lacking. I have not read every page yet but I've seem nothing about the "dwell" Whats it do and where should it be set?
I have no experiance with paintball guns, But have bought my 11 year old a Tippman and myself this TES. Any set-up advice and tips will be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to read as much as I can and have found a lot of good info here. I'd appreciate any links to good threads you think will be of help.

auto will work "full auto" if u take the eye board off. Not worth it in my opinion. Can't use it on the field and its not necessary. For your eye problem, make sure all your wires are connected properly and make sure the eye is aligned correctly.

ok first off auto and simi are the samthing but auto makes it were you can shoot reall speed simi is like a handicap mode the is not true auto on a tes and second the turn the eye on turn your gun off the hold the trigger down for 12 sec then let go and turn the gun on and cock it

Yeah, auto checks for trigger pulls alot more times a second then semi does. On the TES board, "auto" is true semiauto shooting...no full auto here...
What kinda paint you using? Dark shelled? clear shelled? The eye will not see clear shelled paint (namely cheap ZAP, brass eagle, stuff like that), or really dark shelled paint, namely black, but some other dark colors give it trouble also. If you are not shooting either one of those paints, sounds like there might be some problems with your eye or board...IS the battery fresh? I would only guess that you have a bad board/eye that is just not sensative enough to see paint.
EDIT: Dwell is useless on the TES, its only used on The One.

No, he didn't say a thing about unplugging the eye, he said complete removal of the eye board, then sir, you will recieve your full auto.

So when you take they eyeboard out do you need to replace that diode with a jumper from the 1 and 3 pins to unlock it. (Like how its shown in the Tex's The One guide thread).

Exactly like that, the diode/paper clip will unlock all the modes the marker has to offer
