T-board For Dragun?
I just saw where they are expecting to come out with a T-board complete with breakbeam eye for the Dragun in Nov. Does anyone think it would be worth the money?

yea not many ppl will get much above 20 bps, the Tboard can get to 36 bps, and thats rediculous, lol, but if you shoot faster than 20 bps, why not? thats basically the only thing it does, other than the new eye

I thought the T1 used the same bouncebeam eye as the TES does.
Plus with the T-Board upgrade chip it allows a few more firing options including one mode which fires on the pull of the trigger and the release as well as full auto up to 36 BPS, plus it saves the setting so you don't have to keep changing them every time you turn on the Dragun.
BTW here is the link to the info on the board

Yeah my take from reading a few things on it is if you get the chip too the only thing limiting your speed will be how fast your hopper can feed it. I think since I need a new board anyway I may wait and just get the T-board and chip when it becomes availible. It seems like the board/chip combo would really allow the Dragun to rip, plus by going to a breakbeam eye, you wouldn't have any issues if you wanted to use dark colored paint. Hey at least the Dragun is finally getting an upgrade electronics option.

BTW here is the link to the chip, the email I got back from them said the T-Chip will work on the Dragun T-board as well.
The mode that fires on the pull and on the release is the mode they refer to as Reactive Trigger, it also would allow burst, full auto (with adjustable rates of fire) as well as semi-auto and a Tourney lock mode, plus Shot Q, as well as adjustable D-bounce.

I just figured I would post about it since I haven't seen any mention about it here. Its good to get some options.

why not just save for a different up or better gun? are you really going to be shooting over 20? are you gonna want to take the time out to have the eye holes redrilled? is having to input a few settings when u turn your gun on that big of a hassle? And the thing with the t-board is its been delayed a lot so you don't really know a release date. they are still in the prototype process and its gonna take awhile for them to be manufactured. If it comes out pretty soon then get it, why not. But if you have some other ups to be taken care of (reg, bolt, barrel, hopper, tank) then go for those first.

Well my stock board got shorted out (my fault) and I can't get through to Dragun to get one. In the meantime I got an Automag RT Custom w/ the ULE body, ULT Trigger and some other upgrades. I just would like to be able to have the TES working as well instead of being a paperweight. Plus it would give me something to play with if I want something that shoots different modes, b/c the mag is mech (although I can get pretty good speeds on it and its very consistant and accurate).

If you're serious about the mag, Shepard, then keep that, it's better than a Dragun. What is a bounce eye?, you mean breakbeam? That T-Board looks pretty cool, but (like Eltrut said) why not just buy a better gun?

bounce eye is where the beam bounces off the paintball and back to the eye, thats why some dark or dull color paint wont work on them.

Oh I wasn't implying fix the TES and get rid of the Mag. I just figure why leave the TES broken and unuseable., but yes the Mag is defintely a step up, the only thing is it a semi mech but with the RT and the ULT kit, it can shoot pretty fast for a mech. but the biggest diff is the smoothness and accuracy. I know everyone says accuracy is solely paint-to-bore match but I have the same barrel on both (Dye Ultralight, that way I didn't have to buy new tips), using the same paint and the same 47/3000, when I shoot the Mag at a target 30-40 feet away the paintballs are much, much tighter together. Plus its very quiet, several times I had people come up to me after the game asking where I shot them from b/c they never saw or heard a thing. All in all I really like the Mag, but I still liked my TES so I would like to get it working again, even if its just for a second gun- I do believe even with a board the Mag would be my primary marker.

Oh and re-reading the line "If you're serious about the mag", were you trying to imply I made it up. If you don't believe me I can borrow my friend's camera (mine is broken) and take a picture of it next to my dismantled TES, but I am suprised that you would be skeptical about something like an Automag RT Custom, If I was going to BS, wouldn't I pick something like a DM4 or similar high-end marker, not a mid-level mechanical? I mean a Mag isn't some gee-whiz fancy marker, just simple and effective (plus cheap, I am still fairly new to playing, I would wait at least a year before spending serious money on a marker, besides to build my skills to be able to utilize a high-end gun, also to make sure a year from now it is something I will still be doing. I would hate to spend $1200 on a marker only to lose interest in PB in 6 months, you know)

Well I will try to get to use his camera this weekend- mine had an accident. I guess going down a flight of stairs carrying the camera on a moving cruise ship, while heavily intoxicated might not have been a good combo.
Pricewise the Mag wasn't too bad- I got the RT Custom then added a CF Black ULE body, Intelligrip frame with double trigger, ULT Trigger Kit, Kila V2 Magnetic Detent with shipping (2-day air) I think the total was $510

how much is the t-board gonna be? and how much is it already for the spyder? i looked but didnt try. and as to that saving up question just read something on that site that said the thing with "when ppl buy a new marker they are just lazy becuz they dont want to upp ther existing one" very true i think. but i will still buy a shocker in the near future, i need something lighter and faster but that doesnt really make sense becuz wit the t-board it will be much faster than the shocker. but that might be a while.

I believe a guy at the field who got the T-Board for his Spyder said he paid $70, although I could be off a little. I would think that the Dragun board would be similarly priced.
