abs is anti-bolt stick programming. Sometimes if you wait a while between shots on your matrix the bolt will stick and the marker will not fire. ABS increases the dwell for one cycle. This unsticks the bolt for the first shot but also raises its velocity. Most relativly new stock and aftermarket boards(dm4, dm5, tadao, LCD) come with it. Im not sure about older ones like gun 20 and gun 12.

im pretty sure its set for like 15 seconds of no firing is when abs kicks in...its really handy when u are getting ready to start a game cuz u dont have to worry about not being able to shnoot for your first few shots. Only problem with it is that it raises your velocity for the first shot but its overall worth it

dont do it if your in a tourney, if the first shot is high its still illegal, but for regular play itsok

i dont know about other boards, but on my predator board you can set the time for the abs to kick in Abs is really handy. and i have it set like at 25 seconds so i never have problems at the chrono.

i think that when i had my tadao 4 it was just on/off but im not postive since it was a while ago.
how much does it raise your velocity?
