Is the Proto a good choice...?
My friend can get me a deal on stock Proto Trix which I am hoping will be around 700 or 650$. I have an ION right now and want to upgrade since I am now playing tournaments like summer series, XPSL, and NPPL this year. I have heard the proto gets some kick but its more effecient and lighter than the dm4 and dm5. Can you guys give me some statistics of the proto over an ion like it's wieght, speed ( know its uncapped but what is the usual speed people can get ), what ups there are, what ups are necesary, etc. thank you!

The Proto is the best gun for the price. It will shoot pretty much the same as a DM5, just a little bit more kick. A Proto can shoot 24 bps. I think that they weight 2.4 pounds, I'm not sure on that though.

Protos are great guns. I've shot both DM4's and Protos and they both shoot excellent. Either get a New proto or an upped DM4 for like 700ish.

Very reliable. Keep your bolt lubed and you'll be fine. Simple guns.

Chances are your not going to get the gun for that price.
Teams with sponsors cant get unlimited amounts of guns for super cheap, either the team is limited to the # of guns they can get at price during a season, or they limit the players.
99.98% of the time someone is talking about getting a deal because thier friend knows someone who knows someone who knows dave youngblood is never going to get the gun
