Dip switches
1.1 Anti-Bolt-Stick (ABS)
When ABS is activated the dwell is increased after 15 seconds of nonuse. This helps to prevent bolt-stick but may result to higher velocity for the first shot.

Dip1 off(default) -ABS off
Dip1 on -ABS on

1.2 Eye sensitivity
The eye sensitivity setting determines the time that is needed to allow the next ball to settle into the breech. Too sensitive an eye setting may result in chop and too high a setting limits the maximum ROF that can be achieved. Optimal sensitivity setting varies between different paintball brands and the loader used.

The most sensitive (and fastest) setting is 1.
Halo should be set dip 2 off dip 3 off =1
Evolution/y dip 2 off dip 3 on (Factory default) =2
Revy x board dip 2 on dip 3 off =3
anything else dip 2 on dip 3 on =4

1.3 Configuration mode
Additional settings can be modified in configuration mode. To activate the
configuration mode, turn your gun off and set the Dip4 to on position and turn your gun back on. 3-color led cycles through all colors for one second to indicate that you have entered the configuration mode.

Dip4 on =Config. mode
Dip4 off = Normal mode

To cycle through different settings, pull and release the trigger. Configuration mode has three (3) settings that can be changed.

Green - trigger bounce

Trigger bounce is the amount of time that the trigger has to be released before next trigger pull is allowed. In some situations with a too low value, the gun may begin to shoot like a full-auto.
Values 1 - 20 (factory default 5)

Red - dwell

Dwell is the amount of time that the solenoid will be activated.

Values 5 - 30 (factory default 18 )

Yellow - rate off fire (ROF) when anti chop eye (ACE) is deactivated.

The ROF is always 24bps when eye is activated.

Values 5 - 24 (factory default 24bps)

When you set the values, remember that only trigger bounce starts from 1 The "DWELL" and "rate of fire" start from 5, this means that if you set the dwell to 20, you have to pull the trigger 16 times, hence because it starts from 5.

To change the value of a setting:

1.. Pull the trigger and hold it for more than one second. (When in config. mode) Led will flash to indicate the previous setting. After that, you can set the new value with the trigger. For example, if you want to change the trigger bounce to 5 units.
2. Cycle through menus by pulling and releasing the trigger until the led lights green (trigger bounce).
3. Pull and hold the trigger until the led starts to flash (factory default for
trigger bounce setting is 10 units so led will flash 5 times).
4.. When the led stops flashing pull and release the trigger five times in a fast pace. The new value is set after you haven't touched the trigger for one second. The led will cycle through all colors to indicate that the new value is saved. All other configurations are changed the same way. Just as in part 2 above change the mode to RED for "DWELL" or YELLOW for "ROF when ACE is deactivated" to change the wanted configurations.

To exit configuration mode, set dip4 to off position.

!!!Notice you cannot turn your gun off with the power button when the gun is in configuration mode. !!!

2. General Usage

2.1 Power buttonThe gun can be turned off and on by pressing the power button for 3 seconds. Notice that the power button doesn't work in configuration mode. The gun automatically switches off after 10 minutes of nonuse.

2.2 Boot sequence
When the gun is turned on, the led will light yellow for approximately two seconds. After that, the gun is ready for used.

2.3 Led operation
This covers only the led operation in normal mode not configuration mode.

Yellow - Boot sequence

Red - Breech is clear

Green - Ball in breach

Flashing green - Eye is blocked. ROF is automatically reduced to prevent chopping.
To get faster ROF, turn the eye off. To fix the problem, try to clean the eyes and check the connections.

Flashing red - Eye is turned off

2.4 EyeEye is always activated when you turn the gun on. To force the gun to shoot without paint, pull and hold the trigger 0.5 seconds. To deactivate the eye, press the power button for 2 seconds. Led blinks red when the eye is deactivated. Eye can be reactivated only by turning the gun off and back on.

2.5 Checking Configurations
You can check your Dip switch configuration by pulling and holding the trigger when you turn the gun on. Hold the trigger until the led starts flashing. Red indicates the eye sensitivity setting and yellow the anti bolt stick (ABS) setting (1 flash off and 2 flash on). For example, if your eye sensitivity is 3 and ABS is ON then the led will flash red three times and yellow two times.

Cleaning the Eye
Posted by Egi the creator of the nyx eye:

The way I clean the eyes if necessary is- Take the breach of the gun (connector also)
- Put it under sink
- Turn on warm water and wash everything, try to keep the connector out of the water. Using mild soap is fine also.
- blow eye holes with canned air
- dry with a hair dryer.

Make sure you dry it well.

Putting some oil to the ball detents after washing it is a good idea also.

For between game cleaning canned air is fine, the eyes will not get broken from blow air. Ive used all kinds of canned air and they all work fine. Using the hose from your air system works fine also, just be hold the hose tight so it doesnt slap you when you turn on the air.

-- Egi / Cyclone

Quick Fix= Pour water into the breech and swish it around to dilute and remove the paint from the eye
Swab Method
This involves removing a ball detent and putting a cotton swab with alcohol through the detent hole and cleaning the eye which is located near the detent on the opposite side of the breech. Just replace the detent and repeat on other side. Your will need a 3 mm metric wrench.
