what is the difference between this and a dm7 and a dm8?
How much is one with virtue eyes worth?

Dyes have a horizontal LPR (PM8 is vertical), DM7 has Hyper2 regulator, PM8 & DM8 have Hyper3. PM8 has ribbon eyes, DM7 has wire eyes, DM8 has that awful eye pipe system. PM8 comes with the 2 piece proto barrel, DM7 & DM8 come with the 2 piece UL barrel.

Used PM8 w/ Virtue Eyes would run about $425-$525, since the eyes aren't an upgrade, they add no value.

PM8 is slightly lighter. DM7 uses wired eyes instead of ribbon eyes. PM8 is capable of just slightly better efficiency if they're both tuned to the max. Those are you're important differences. PM8 needs no upgrades, DM7 needs a constant flow plug to remove the moronic vertical on/off, but nothing else. They're both incredibly solid markers that you'll be extremely happy with.

im am also looking towards the ego 7/8. My marker now is a vs1, so any upgrade would be good. What do you think i should get.

I'm a much larger fan of the PM8. Egos are much more efficient though. But they feel nothing alike. That's a comparison that really will come down to personal preference. Try an Ego, try a UL'd Proto and determine for yourself which you like more.
