I started playing paintball about a year ago, and after about 3 or 4 months, I got a Spyder Xtra w/ a mask and tank so I didn't have to use the rental guns. Yesterday, it stopped working. I know exactly why it isn't working, but I am going to send it in to Kingman for a refund anyways. My plan is since I have been playing paintball a lot more than I expected to be, is it upgrade to a better gun. My local paintball field has a store in it where they sell guns and stuff there and provide free maintenance/repairs for life. So they recommended me to get a (you guessed it, it's in the title)and they let me test fire it. From what I shot I liked it, and when I get the money for it I am going to buy it, but I also need to get a hpa tank and a electronic hopper. I am going to buy a hpa tank from my field it's 48/3000. What I need help with is what hoppers do you guys recommend for about 70 dollars. One guy at my field suggested the Empire B Reloader (don't know if I got the name right?) but I was under the impression that it is around $100. I am willing to pay that if it's worth it, but what would be the pros/cons of it? Also, I'm sorry if I put this in the wrong section.
Yea, I have a good mask, in my opinion. It's comfortable and i have a good field of vision, plus I got thermal lenses for it.
Well, I was also looking at the ion xe some too, but I don't know really. So many choices. I only have a budget of about $400 for the gun, hopper, and tank.
ummm i would rather prefer a proto over a spyder anyday, but the thing is you get what you pay for, so in my opinion dyes and protos are my chioce of markers and i love the quality of performance they provide, i love halo hoppers with a passon, you could prob pick up a used one for a good price, get a ninja 4500 tank, might as well be readyto shoot over 1000 paintballs when your on the field, my 2 cents
Thank ya'll for your opinions, I just got back in town. For the hopper, I was thinking I'd want a translucent one, what options are their for a transparent hopper.
My local paintball field is selling a SLG for 200$, which is about as much as a a VS2 I think, I'll look into the invert mini. Another question I have, is about the hpa tank. Are there any brands that I should stay away from?
For loaders, I look for a used Rotor. You can find a used one for around 100. You won't need another loader for a long, long time. Plus they're much less prone to breaking than Halos.
Tanks, I prefer Guerrilla Air. Ninja is also a solid brand. Definitely go 4500, the size is up to you.
I was looking at the Halo B Hopper. Someone told me about the Rip Drive upgrade, can someone tell me what this does they weren't very clear on what it was. Also I'd like to have the least amount of upgrades possible for my gun do to my budget. Should I get a carbon fiber tank? Somewhere I heard that they were like $300 and most of the tanks that were 48/4500 online were about $150. Should I assume they are steel, aluminum, or carbon fiber? Sorry about my questions, I like to know a lot about things before buyign them.
Rip drive is a wheel under the hopper that can be turned to feed if you run out of batteries, or in my case unjam since I keep forgetting my prophecy has a unjam switch =/
Ok, Sorry I haven't replied to anyone's post or anything. I thank everyone for all the feedback, but I'm sorry to say I won't be getting a new gun or anything anytime soon. My family has just hit some financial problems, so I let my parents use my saved up money. I'll just get a new gun some other time.
