Ok i need to change an o-ring in the top hat of my dm4 and i can't unscrew the top hat. It is really pissing me off. Looks like I may have to resort to a strap wrench. Anyone got any advice?

You have to unscrew the tophat on a dm4? I'm sure you know on normal trixes it just slides off so i can't help ya.

Try the strap wrench.

If you can't get a grip on it try whiping off the grease/oil on the tophat and whatever piece you are trying to screw off. I've never had a problem with not being able to get the pieces apart, so that must blow that you can't get them apart.

You might wana try taking something like a pencile and Stickign through the Grooves and get some leverage on it, and When you try and unscrew it, put the bolt in a big old Rag so you don't gash yourself..

yeah, we were able to get it lose by using allen wrenches and leverage

High five, i also had a hard time getting my top hat and beer can apart the first time. I just put it back on so it seals, not eternally locking it.
