is it bad to dry fire a matrix? i hear it take the orings off the bolt, or is it bad for another reason, or is it fine to do just like any other gun?

just like any other gun. if u just lubed the bolt and are dry firing, take the breech off, cuz lube with shoot out from the bolt tip. so, u dont want the barrel, breech on. just dry fire 50 times after u lube, to cycle the lube throught. then wipe off any excess, by taking off the breech and wiping the bolt tip/eye carrier.

but dry firing in general; its fine. nothign happens.

Yup....Dry firing is fine, the o-rings wear out/break from normal use... Doesnt matter if its dryfiring or paint firing. Also, on a trix to conserve gas, stick a squeege in the breech and fire, it will save a lot of gas.

As for dry firing, It's perfecty fine, to the bolt, it's just like shooting paint, so remeber after about 2,000-4,000 shots worth of Dry firing, Relube, and like the dude earlier said, Leave the breech off and shoot like 50-100 times to clear out the bolt after lubing. (take breech off to keep greese outta breech&barrel and making accuracy suck)
