Well, it looks like I can't get that Ego after all. I emailed village and just got the response. The 05 Ego is discontinued and they aren't getting anymore in stock. This sucks. I really wanted that ego.

Everybody else is selling 06s. That or they have an 05 for $800. That is more than I wanted to spend on a gun.
I'm probably going to end up buying an ion. I would buy a preowned gun, but my parents are being total *****es about it. Damn it. Nothing ever works out for me.

shocker w/ vision or get a fs-7. Both are $700ish. Also a D2 and PM5 are $650 and $700 new.

I don't like the design of the FS-7 or the PM5s. They just look ugly to me.
Also, vision shockers cost $800. That is above my limit. Besides, shockers are horribly inefficient.
What is a D2?

defiant 2, like a cheaper timmy, or a expensive promaster. I found it too small and it seemed REALLY light.

What about System X NME L.E.s. I found one on Ebay for $600. Is it worth it? I've never seen one or used one. I absolutely love the milling though. I know it isn't the lightest, but is it good in terms of speed, consistency, accuracy, and "kick".

They are nice guns. People complain about weight but when it comes to adding a full hopper and tank, the extra ounces won't make a difference.

I really don't mind weight. I lug around my Tippy like it's nothing. I need to know about consistency/accuracy/maintenence/etc.....

maintenence shouldnt be too bad, its accurate enough to do one shot one kills and its very consistent when run off of LP nitro.

What do you mean LP? It can't handle HP? I thought that any gun (except certain angels) could handle HP.....

I'm going to try to get on of the Blue 05s off of the village. They are selling for $640. I just have to monitor the "in stock" mark. They had one this morning. They sold it in 30 minutes.....
If I can't get one during the sale, then I'll get an Ion.
I hope to join the Ego community soon. Wish me luck!!!

You have a Tippmann now...you are planning on buying an ego........big jump buddy.
I may just be insanely jealous, but, a tippy to an ego is a rediculous jump. I, personally, think you should just get a used Ion or Promaster off here or PBN, use that for a while, then buy an ego in the future....but like I said before, I could just be talking out of my ass because I am insanely jealous.
If you do get an ego, and you mess something up before you even get the chance to play with it and you make a thread on here...don't me mad if I say this: "told ya so, told ya so, nananana told ya so."
If you do get an ego and you don't have any problems with it, sweet.

I'm a pretty mechanically inclined person. I don't think I'd mess up a gun like an Ego. Hell, I'd probably baby the thing.

Nme's have had some problems with the LPR, but you can put a stock timmy lpr for cheap on there and it will work fine. Other then that, they are awesome.
