I have read alot of posts regarding the DYE DM6 vs the Planet Eclipse Ego 06, as well as posts about spool vs poppit valves and how they work. It seems as if the same response I have gotten is they both perform great, its only a matter of personal preference.

I am looking to purchase a high end gun and my decision is between the two. What I am asking the community is what should I get? What would you prefer and why? Are their any disadvantages one has over the other? Efficiency, maintance, etc.

I also heard that the DM6 has a few problems with the eyes, would anyone know about that? Has this problem been fixed by DYE precision?

I apologize for asking such a broad question but I would like to hear what the community thinks about these two guns and if they know any technial parts of the gun that I have no idea about.

everyone on my team started out with DM6's at the beginning of the season when DM6's first came out....then one of our guys eyes on his DM6 stopped working...a week later the same thing happened to another teammate of mine....now we are all shooting 06' Egos and haven't had any problems with them at all....

in my opinion an ego blows a DM6 out of the water...also, if u can shoot each one and see which u like the feel of better

I say get a 06 ego because the efficiency is better then the DM6. I'm pretty sure they solved the eye problems w/ the DM7 but still if u want a gun that lasts, i would definitely go w/ an ego. I had mines for a yr and nothing ever was wrong w/ it!
