.99 Cent hair trigger
Remember my old fish? I used magnets and sodder to make the trigger uber light? WEll I borrowed FOXTROT's gun so I could let a friend play... And I just got bored (Dont worry mike, if you dont like it,e verythign can be removed in about 40 seconds.). All I used was a knife, and some electric tape. Origonally I used an elastic band around the microswitch, but I broke the band I had. The bands made for braces would work ideal.
(This mod works for eForce 2k3 only.. Actually I'm not even sure if this is a 2k3. It has the titanium trigger, and is chrome, with wraparound rubber grips.)
Here it is.
1. Remove your bottomline and ASA
2. Remove your Trigger Frame from the marker.
3. Remove the rubber grip.
4. On the top there should be some electric tape on the board. Take it off.
5. There are two nylon screws oholding the board on. These are near the microswitch.
6. Pull the board off, and locate the microswitch. It has a little white piece where if you push it down, it will click.
Heres where the modding starts.
7. Get some electric tape. Cut a small square, and a large strip. Take the small square, and put it on the large strip. The reason for this is so there is a non-sticky spot on the tape. Your just sticking tape to tape.
8. Put the tape on the microswitch, and make sure the non-sticky part is on the switch. Wrap it tightly, but not tight enough so that the switch is depressed.
The Idea here is that the tension from the tape makes it so that lighter force on the switch will trip it.
9. Add one layer of tape aroudn that. There should be three layers of tape on teh switch. The square you cut, the long strip, and the second layer you just put on. Do not put this second layer on tight. In fact, put it on normally. Don't wrap it around the bord either. Thsi will just make it harder to reinstall the board.
10. Reinstall the board, and test it out.it should be very light now, and if it isn't light, go back to step 8, and wrap the tape a little bit tighter.
11. Punch out the pin for the trigger. This is the middle pin. Punch it through the right side. Use a hammer and a nail, or allen wrench.
12. Pull the trigger out and observe the pin that is there. The remaining pin is what we're modding.
13. Cut a piece of electric tape, about 1 1/4 inches long. Cut it so it is no wider then the pin that is in the trigger frame.
14. Usign a small screwdriver or allen wrench to push it through, wrap the thin piece of electric tape around the pin.
15. Reinstall the trigger. Test it out. If the pull is not short enough, add more tape. But dont add a second piece of tape to the pin. REmove the existing tape, and a longer piece. If it is too short, cut the tape shorter.
16. Enjoy your uber light uber short 13bps marker.
The board is still capped at around 13bps. You can get a new board, and do the same exact mods.
Video up soon.
