Ok, ill kick thngs off i guess. As far as we know, the Minion is a PL PM6 which should be released around HB. Price projections suggest an msrp at around $1200, and will most likely be available for around $950-$1100. First sample pics were cut-out body shots revealing the milled in 'minion' and evil logo. more recently, a full body shot revealed the entirely milled PM6 bod with new style eye covers and dye reg, frame, and grips.
following the leak, were various arguments that the pic was real, pic was photoshopped, and other heresay. id say, the leaked photo was a close concept projecting the physical appearance of the upcoming final product. although the minion pic is a farcry and distance away from the older leaked CAD drawings, the release of the full body shot was still exciting. based on the pics, one could further speculate that red, blue, and black offerings will be avaiable at launch - among a hopeful white, gold, and olive - and perhaps later on some fades. its unclear, but many expect to see the pipe barrel, evil grips, and possibly the detonator? though im not sure how good a detonator would look against the nicely sculpted body, it seems a smaller profiled reg would be more at home, esp beside an ultralite frame maybe?
What may be the most important and controversial question, would be the handling of the delicate warranty and tech support situation. The EVIL owners, who are spoiled rotten on the brilliant lifetime warranty and tech support, are left to wonder who will they be sending the minion to? cost? service times? etc. besides operation and internals, the warranty/service is by far the most questionable, AND important.
mixed reactions followed with news of the minion slowly creeping into the mainstream, and even more mixed reviews came with the leak of the photo. dye/proto fanboys, most of them, hated the idea and bashed evil for releasing a proto wannabe, calling it ugly and so forth. others were shocked that it wasnt a completely fresh marker. i say, imo, who cares? either way, its a new marker coming out, and we should be happy. either way, time will tell us how this venture pans out. and more info is undoubtedly bound to be slowly revealed along the way creeping up to the minion's release.
