GTI questions

I had this GTI for almost 2 years. Recently, I have not been able to shoot a straight shot. 9 out of 10 shots wolud curve severly in any given direction (some time 5-6 feet off target). I added a Progressive 14" barrell and it shoots worse with that. The velocity is around 260 - 270. What would cause this?

Now today we were playin in the woods, and I spent more time cleaning broken balls out of the barrel than playing. Somtimes I pull the trigger once and it would shoot 2 or 3 times, and puke broken balls out the end (I always have to recock it after that happens). The end of the sear has alittle mushroom shape on it, so I am going to repace it. Is that a good starting point?

Its very frustrating having somone in your sights, and not being able to get an accurate shoot.

Honestly, I do not know the answer to your question. All I can say is, paintballs are not accurate no matter what barrel you have, they'll still curve to some point. Now when you say it curves 5 to 6 feat away from your "target", how far away are you shooting?

I notice it more when I'm close to somone, around 25-30 feet away.

Maybe not even that far away

Mostly I like to play woods ball. SniperNate is more of a nickname, but I do like to shoot people from far away. And until recently, I was pretty accurate. I have shrapnel paint, it's cheap, but it the only one I could find that didn't have flat spots.

one of 2 things...wither your paint is too big for your barrel or your velocity is too high......or both. (you'll realize if its both when you get the right size of paint)

definately get that sear replaced and take a close look at your hammer and make sure its not damaged. also, you want to make sure that you keep as much oil off of your sear and hammer as possible. i dont mean you should completely dry your hammer....but rather only put a drop or two directly on the blue o ring.

That could be my problem, I put a drop or two of oil on the sear. Is there a complete O-ring kit avalible for a GTI? Some of the O-rings feel a little stiff. Thanks for all the help.

i dont thinnk theres a complete kit...unless you find an o ring guru over at pbnation. the only o ring that really needs to be factory OEM is the hammer o ring.
