there isnt anywhere else to put this, so i put it in here seeing as pcs is a division of pmi.

i just want to know if anyone has had any REAL experience with the us-5. im thinking about getting this although my 98 is basically the same thing minus the clip switching and the body shape. i just like the looks and being able to take off the electro grip when its wet out in a flash. if i do get it, ill put my palmers stab and egg on it along w/ a new barrel eventually and a double trigger when one comes out(i heard one was soon along w/more accessories).

so just tell me your opinion of it if you have shot/used it in a game.

Well........ I seen one in action last weekend, I got to hold it and fire a couple of shots, but i never accually "used" it in a game. It's a pretty sturdy gun. I think you'll be better off with the 98. The e-grip clip is cool, but this thing is slow as heck in semi, with a single trigger and all. and even in full auto it hits like 12 or so, not that impressed. You can get your 98 firing way faster..

Thats just my opinion.

well, i forgot to say before, i dont do any real speedball w/ like air bunkers at a real field. just woods and my friends speedball field in the woods. everyone i play w/ has a semi and actually, b4 i got the RT, myh 98 was plenty fast enough w/ just the double trigger and the pen spring mod but i said why not go faster. but i keep it on the lowest speed that still works so im guessing that thats like 10-12 bps? but either way, 12 bps is fast enough for me.

well, i would get an a-5 but i dont have that much cash to spare cuz i need a new guitar amp. im going to keep the 98 either way tho but i'll have 1 be my woodsball gun and 1 my speedball gun.

so does anyone know where you can get a double trigger for it? i hear that a bunch of accessories for it are coming out around OK d-day, so whens that?
or can i just use an a-5 trigger?

if ur looking to get a speedball gun then dont get that, get an ion for the price that ur spending, thats just supposed to be a fast woodsball gun

well, i dont play standard speedball. its more like speedball in the woods w/ like cable spools and plywood for bunkers. and i cant get an ion because i dont have hpa or ne where to get it filled. but evryone i know has a semi and somebody has a spyder imagine, so its not like im going against fast guns.

ok, i just snagged the electric gun off ebay for 139 shipped. so i hope its worth it cuz now im gonna sell my 98 to my friend for $100 with the barrel, double trig, and RT and a grav hopper. any thoughts on new barells for the us-5? im thinking about a j&j ceramic

higher bps isnt only good for woodsball
higher bps = higher chance of a hit
its also better to keep the other team down

the way i see it is if you have a better of getting them out, then you get them out earlier, saving some paint
so i think it evens itself out

ok, so i just got word back from pmi and they said that double triggers are coming out really soon and that it only works with the a5 flatline and not all a5 barrels.

well, i finally got it today, and it is the best gun ive ever used. although, i have only seen/used cheap guns like a vl triad, my old 98c, jt tac-5, and spyder clones. i havent really gotten to test it much cuz its been rainy all day but i did get out and try it before i put my upgrades on it and it shot further than my 98c but with the stock barrel, it was curving a lot and it shoots plenty fast. not as fast as the RT, but fast enough for me and with a double trigger when they come out it should be faster in semi mode.

the upgrades i put on it so far are:
palmers male stab
custom made drop forward(it was just too long w/o 1 w/ a 20oz)
my egg2 hopper
and a red 32 degrees whisper i stole from my diablo sabotage, but im gona get a black j&j ceramic soon.

it was getting quite frosty before i put the palmers on but that fixed everything.

and it just looks REALLY nice with all the upgrades on it. im gonna get a pic tommorow or wait until i get a new barrel.

not yet because i couldnt find my camera and the battery was dead once i finally found it, but i will try my hardest to get them up in the rating forum tommorow
