Piranha Problem!

Well i have heard about this happining to tippmanns but im not sure if this is the same or not. I basicly know almost nothing about the Piranha and how it works becuase im a tippmann kinda guy so heres my problem.

As i let my friend barrow the Piranha yesterday and i was using my Tippmann it started to shoot twice or at least sound like it was shooting twice and then shoot one ball out of the barrel but sound like it shooting twice....then the gun would uncock, after switching Co2 tanks and trying many other things even opening the gun up which did me no good becuase i have no clue about the Piranha i noticed nothing of course.

Any help would be helpful! This is just a regular old co2 Piranha non electronic.

well if the gun is coming uncocked then it's probaly your sear not catching. Sometimes just lubing it up well can solve that problem too.

Check your sear to see if it is rounded off and also check your sear spring.

It could also be your hammer is worn, but i doubt that.

Ya definately oil your gun. My friends 98 did that the other day and we just squirted a ton of oil into it and then it was fine for the rest of the day.

If you're still having troubles, try dropping some oil into your asa and (with the barrel off) dry fire 10-20 times. Sometimes the orings just need some lube. If you're comfortable, you can disassemble it and put 1 or 2 drops on each oring on the bolt, rammer, etc. If you're still experiencing the misfires, turn the velocity down a bit. If that helps, but now it seems you aren't shooting fast enough, you could cut the spring as a last resort.

Always store it uncocked.

cant emphasize that enough....leading cause of weak springs and failure to cock.

also, make sure ther isnt any oil on the hammer/sear (except for the hammer o-ring).

(yes, i know its a little late....better late than never...)
